Academic Information

Since 2024, I have been serving as an **Associate Professor** in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at the **University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur**, where I am actively engaged in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses, mentoring student research projects, and pursuing research in nanophotonics, optical sensing, and advanced photonic materials. My current academic role enables me to integrate teaching with research while fostering interdisciplinary collaborations and guiding students in emerging areas of photonics and nanotechnology.

I completed my Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, India, in 2024. My doctoral research was carried out under the supervision of Dr. Basudev Lahiri and Prof. Shailendra Kumar Varshney. My Ph.D. thesis, titled *"A Study on Hybridized Plasmon-Phonon Polaritons in α-MoO₃/Graphene Heterostructures and Their Photonic Applications,"* focused on the design and investigation of hybrid van der Waals heterostructures incorporating two-dimensional (2D) materials and metamaterials for advanced photonic applications. My research explored the strong coupling between graphene plasmon polaritons and α-MoO₃ phonon polaritons to achieve enhanced light–matter interactions in the mid-infrared spectral region for various photonic applications.

I earned my Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Electronics and Communication Engineering with a specialization in VLSI Design from Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET), Sangrur, Punjab, in the year 2016. My master's dissertation, *"Study and Performance Analysis of Graphene Nanoribbon Interconnects Through Silicon Vias,"* focused on the electrical performance of graphene-based nanoscale interconnects, providing a strong foundation in nanotechnology and advanced electronic materials that later evolved into my doctoral research in nanophotonics and 2D material-based devices.

I completed my Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Bikaner Engineering College, Bikaner in 2014.

Research Interests

My research interests encompass 2D materials and van der Waals heterostructures, plasmonics, phononics, metamaterials, nanophotonics, surface-enhanced infrared spectroscopy (SEIRA), optical sensing, optical fiber sensors, and integrated photonic devices. Iam particularly interested in engineering light–matter interactions through hybrid plasmonic-photonic and phononic platforms to develop compact, high-performance, and tunable photonic systems.
