Research Interests
Dr. Poonam Jakhar's research interests focus on musculoskeletal and orthopaedic rehabilitation, evidence-based physiotherapy, electrotherapy, therapeutic exercise, chronic pain management, women's health physiotherapy, rehabilitation technology, and health professions education. She is particularly interested in translating clinical research into effective rehabilitation practices that improve functional outcomes and quality of life while advancing excellence in physiotherapy education.
Courses Taught
Dr. Poonam Jakhar teaches undergraduate physiotherapy courses including - General Medicine, Pathology, Electrotherapy, Exercise Therapy, Orthopaedic Physiotherapy, Clinical Physiotherapy, and Fundamentals of Health Care Delivery System, with a strong emphasis on evidence-based practice, clinical excellence, and outcome-oriented learning.
